I am not a huge fan of Cold Case, though I am starting to get addicted to it lately, most especially after watching The Promise last Friday on CS.

It is a story of a girl who died after being trapped in a house on fire. Well, actually, it’s more like a story of friendship that transcends age, status, and time.

I don’t want to go into details because a) I’m not good in narrating and b) the episode is meant to be watched.

 The music used are well picked. The story seems to give a new meaning to the song “Fallen” by Sarah McLachlan. The ending was superb, particularly the scene when Dirk was holding Laurie’s hands before she passed away.

Needless to say, it was a tearjerker. It is something that would last an impression to anyone.

My favorite line: “She was wrong. I wasn’t her rock. She was mine.” (or something like that)…
