I may be biased but “Permanent” is definitely one of the most heartfelt songs I have ever heard (knowing that David Cook’s brother passed away pretty recent). It’s like seeing David Cook perform, wretched and broken, and all you wanted to do is hug him and tell him everything’s all right…
